Roll Up, Roll Up
As usual, I must wonder whether I am blogging the void and whether anyone really cares, but blog on I must. February has passed although technically we are now Marching on and I did promise to be back before the end of the month, but right now I'm still part of today, at least until tomorrow, and besides just yesterday I had a very significant proposal. So who was she I hear you ask? It being February 29th, day of female empowerment Well the name's Ricky, Ricky the Roofer (so-called by Max) and his wasn't the first such proposal, but it was heaven-sent. So thank you Ricky, who arrived on Thursday to survey our storm damage, no quake damage, but we're losing tiles off the roof like virginities at a convent orgy - I've just moved my car as a few more crash earthwards. Now Ricky likes his poker and was a willing ear to my exploits last summer in Vegas (no not those ones)....and to cut a long story short, three bad-beats later Ricky was offering to back me for this year's Big One. I'd said I'd like to go but couldn't justify spending the money, the family's money and was looking to get some backers...a hundred lots of hundred or some such.....I've had some offers on several fronts, all of them to the tune of 500 bucks and some hinting at more. Anyway quick as you like there was Ricky with his offer of a grand, with a possible friend who could do another 500....and what's more Ricky's not talking dollars. So the road to Vegas is officially open. In my last post I'd requested hard currency and before you know it in walks Ricky the Roofer. I've signed up for Virgin's black card - it costs over £100 a year, but it clocks up airmiles quicker than you can say carbon-neutral, and today I printed off this year's WSOP schedule.

So there it is. I've got my eye on a few smaller Holdem events and would love to play the $10K Omaha and take on the hall of fame, but that game has such a big luck overlay, I'd need a miracle for that to happen. FullTilt begin their satellites as from two hours time when March hits the Eastern Seaboard, so the timing is good. So what can I say Roll up, Roll up. The low-Roller will be, why don't you join him?
